This is the 4 day trip that I took during the Thanksgiving holidays of 2022 to Machu Picchu. It has my itinerary, the places I visited, tips on how to pack, and what all to look out for in the 4 day trip to Machu Picchu.

The 4-day itinerary is a one of the popular itineraries to Machu Picchu. Most parts of this itinerary were fixed as I booked a trip with a travel agent.

When to visit Machu Picchu

I visited Machu Picchu Thanksgiving holidays, which was off peak-season for Peru. I was warned that rainy season has started in November and that I may encounter rain depending on my luck. Apart from a few hours of rain, I had pretty good weather throughout the time I was in Peru.

April through October are the most popular months to visit Machu Picchu, as there are no rains during this time. March and November are alright, but you will be relying on luck more. It could just be that the day you are climbing up to Machu Picchu it rains or is intensely foggy.

For the remaining months, I could not gather what the weather situation would be like.
